Dear colleagues and friends,

It is always a great honor and pride for us to have the chance to offer you our home as the venue for the XIV Congress of the Latin American Society of Interventional Cardiology (SOLACI) and the Annual Congress of the Mexican Society of Interventional Cardiology (SOCIME). On this occasion, this great event will be held in Cancun, Mexico, from August 6th through August 8th 2008.

The whole of Mexico will welcome the international medical community to couple the fraternal gathering with the highest knowledge in the field of panvascular interventional cardiology. This great scientific event will include keynote lectures from the greatest exponents of cardiology in their different areas of expertise, as well as the appropriate forum for the discussion of complex clinical cases and the chance to share experiences from different interventional centers from our brother nations. We will also have the opportunity to interact with the most experienced operators during the transmission of live clinical cases, from the most outstanding interventional centers in our country.

We believe that, among the different venues available to organize an event of this extent, Cancun gathers the characteristics that will allow the Congress to concentrate its activities in one single place, without having to move or travel to other venues, and also provides an adequate infrastructure for conferences and exhibits. All of this in the most beautiful tourist context, which includes one of the new seven wonders of the world.

It is fair to mention that the success of an event like this not only depends on the attendance of our Latin American and international medical colleagues, nurses and technicians, but also on the unrestricted support of the Industry, which every year pleases us with its participation and support.

In Cancun, the heart of Latin America will beat to the same rhythm!
